Ellen Knodt, professor emerita of English at Penn State Abington, will share her experiences searching for clues to ambiguities in Ernest Hemingway's newly published letters and original manuscripts during an online lecture open to the public on Feb. 19.

The public is invited to Penn State Abington on Feb. 27 for two lectures highlighting a faculty member's new book on the practice of imaginative literature in the early modern period and a visiting professor's work on satire.

Aneesah Smith, director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Penn State Abington, will deliver a hybrid lecture, titled "Fostering a Sense of Belonging to Improve Campus Culture," on June 15 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Foster Auditorium at University Park and via Zoom. 

Penn State Abington will host a free community event on Sunday, July 24, featuring a NASA Solar System Ambassador who will offer in-depth explanations of the images NASA released this week from the deepest parts of space ever observed.

Penn State students, faculty and staff can participate in free online workshops that cover Penn State’s new Open Access policy as well as copyright issues and funder policies for public access to research.

Students from Penn State Abington are inviting the public to a “Taste of 1677” an interactive history exhibition about food, medicine and science from their yearlong exploration of a 17th-century recipe manuscript from 5–7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at the Penn State Center Philadelphia located at 675 Sansom St.

A new cross-platform media and outreach project produced by WPSU Penn State aims to help raise awareness of evidence-based practices, programs and policies to prevent and treat opioid abuse, and to identify barriers that prevent the adoption and spread of effective practices and policies. A 30-minute television show will air at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 on WPSU-TV to explore some of these issues.
